Lacey and Anthony

Last weekend I had the honor of photographing Lacey and Anthony's wedding. It seems like we met to plan her photography forever ago. The wedding was in Melbourne at her grandparent's beautiful home. Thanks Ms. Betty - between us, the wedding party, family and friends, we literally took over her poor house. She also kept us all in ice cold water on what was officially the hottest day of the year. The wedding was beautiful and the day was so much fun for us. I could have literally posted 100's of images here because it was really hard to narrow down to my favorites. But after much sorting, here they are. The bouquet above was simply gorgeous and her grandmother's cameo was the perfect touch.

Lacey was the most gorgeous bride.

Katherine and her infamous Big Sexy Hair. LOL

Before the wedding we drove to Knobcreek Church, which is off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. It was the perfect setting for her bridals and their first meeting.

Check out the shades.

Their faces just crack me up.

And even though she said she wasn't one to cry, Lacey shed a few tears when she saw Anthony the first time. Very sweet.

Acting out Alanis Morisette's song, One Hand in My Pocket. LOL - you know the lyrics, I promise! (look it up...)

How do you stay cool when it's 103 degrees outside. Clearly you get a friend to rub you down with cold water. LOL

I love Ryley's little pouty face.

I promise to love you, cherish you, and blot away your sweat. LOL

Wait a minute, how did Heather catch the garter!?!

Jason and Derrick want to go to Jamaica, too.

And then my absolute favorite image of Lacey and Anthony! The perfect ending to a beautiful day.

Lacey and Anthony, it was such a privilege to photograph your wedding. We had so much fun spending the day with you. Your wedding was absolutely beautiful. And, we'll all look back and laugh now about how hot it was! I hope Jamaica was a blast! - Cheryl

Vacation and Studio Closure July 3 - 12
If you cannot find me next week....look here:-)

It's that time of year again. Vacation! We have been working so hard. Wedding season began early this year and the shooting schedule has just been crazy since the beginning of March. I am always ready for a little re-charge about this time of the summer. And, definitely ready for some quality, fun family time. I know we are all looking forward to the sight, sound, and smell of the ocean. Not to mention crab legs, shopping, sleeping late.....
With all that said, the studio will be closed July 3 - 12. No orders will be processed during that time, and you will probably get my voice mail if you call. Any orders taken this week will be processed after the 12th. My lab is so amazing and has such a rapid turn-around, I would have packages stacked up at the front door before I got home if I sent them off this week. I trust fed-ex to deliver, but do not trust the neighbor's dogs.... So I'd just rather not worry about your portrait or album orders while I am away. I will be in contact with everyone after the 12th as your orders come in.
For my July brides who may be worrying about some last minute detail, by all means call me this week. If we need to get together before I leave, we can do that. Otherwise I will talk to all of you as soon as I return. My July and August weddings are going to be awesome, by the way!
I hope everyone has a great July 4th holdiay. Be safe! - Cheryl

Miranda and Brian's wedding

I met Miranda and Brian through my friend and wedding planner, Theresa Timmons-Nooner of Impressions of U. They are so sweet. Brian has the be the most involved groom I have photographed this year. He was all into the little details of the wedding, even on wedding day. Brian and Miranda got married in Texarkana and then we crossed over the state line into Texas for the reception. Their wedding was like a huge family reunion, and lots of fun. Here are my favorite images from the day:

How's this for a beautiful bride? This was also the scene of the grasshopper up the bridal gown. I'm telling you a bride in a bridal gown can still move pretty fast. LOL Her make-up artist came to her rescue!

And this was typical of the whole day. These girls are a hoot!

Theresa in action, attending to some very last minute details before the ceremony. If you are planning an event or wedding, you have to call Theresa - she's the best!

OMG! Ashley you crack me up!

The beautiful aisle markers. Love it!

Weddings are hard work! LOL

Miranda's sorority sisters sang the Sweetheart Song.

Brian and his fraternity brothers serenaded Miranda.

And then the fight to the death...I mean, the bouquet toss.

Check out the arm action here. LOL

Who knew bouquet tossing was a contact sport? LOL You go girl!

This is my absolute favorite shot of Brian and Miranda that we captured in the limo between the ceremony and reception.

Brian and Miranda, thank you so much for including me on your wedding day. Theresa, thank you for the referral. You know you're my favorite planner:-) I hope you guys had a wonderful honeymoon and I wish you nothing but the best! - Cheryl
