Christina & James

I met Christina at the bridal fair back in January. I was very excited to book their wedding at The Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs. It is one of my favorite places in the world. I think if I ever won the lottery, I would buy the place.

It was really nice to spend time with Christina and her family Monday morning before the wedding and hear about how they met and how their relationship grew. Christina and James have been friends since the sixth grade and dated for five years. They have the classic high school sweetheart love story. And, they were both so excited on their wedding day. It was just amazing to watch as they got more and more excited the closer to 2pm it got.

I was a little worried on Sunday when the weather forecast predicted storms and heavy rain in Eureka Springs. That's always a fear when you have an outdoor wedding. Then shortly after the rehearsal, the storms blew in. It rained and stormed like crazy for a few hours. It was a little scary waking up Monday morning with cloudy skies. I was relieved when just before the wedding, the sun popped out right on cue. So, even though it was hot and pretty humid, the weather couldn't have been anymore perfect.

I enjoyed this wedding so much. It was great to meet all their family and friends. This whole wedding party was just tons of fun and eager to try anything I suggested. Their personalities came out in the portraits, too. Christina and James were just precious! I love the way they look at each other. You can just tell they are very much in love!

I wanted to share a little of their storybook wedding at the Fountain Garden, and give them a tiny preview as they anxiously await their wedding gallery! It was very hard for me to pick my favorites!

Christina and Jimmy, thank you for including me in your special day. I had so much fun and you had the most beautiful and romantic wedding day! I just love your families. I wish you a lifetime of love! Special thanks to Sandy and Tony at the Crescent Hotel for all your help!- Cheryl

The First 24 with Landon

After weeks of anxiously waiting, my friend, Amanda, had her beautiful baby boy this morning. I was really excited to get to photograph his very first hours of life in the hospital. It was so sweet sharing this time with them. I just love these First 24 sessions so much. Catching those first few hours of life is just absolutley amazing.

Landon was not a big fan of his first bath!

And, you can see that birthing babies is just exhausting!

Landon is really lucky because he's going to have the coolest big brother ever! Ben, had a big kiss for Landon

One-on-one bonding time with Mom

A little father-son bonding (isn't this just the sweetest thing ever?)

Amanda's parents checking out the big boy

Aren't they just a beautiful family?

Amanda and Ronnie, I am so happy for you guys and that everyone is healthy! Enjoy this precious little boy! - Cheryl
