Holiday Closing

It's that time of year - time for gift wrapping, lots of food, and family. We will be taking a little time off for the Holidays to enjoy all of that! We will be closed December 22 - 27. Any orders that have not arrived yet unfortunately are not going to make it by Christmas. We will begin delivery and accepting orders again on the 28th. I hope that each of you has a very safe and Merry Christmas!

Grant & Kristy

Last Saturday I photographed the wedding of Grant and Kristy. It was a dreary, rainy day for a wedding, which is never the weather you want on a wedding day. That pretty much cancelled all plans for the outdoor photography. But, even with the rain, the wedding was beautiful and the day was so much fun.

I met Kristy and her parents this past summer during her wedding consultation. Although I had heard lots about Grant, I never had the chance to meet him before Saturday. Grant and Kristy have a long history together and planned for their big day since last Christmas. Kristy wanted a wedding that focused on her family and friends. I know she pulled that off. There were so many beautiful and personal touches with the decor of the church and reception hall. I was truly impressed at all the unique and personal touches they included.

After all these years of photographing weddings, I still love that look the groom gets when he sees his bride for the first time on the wedding day. It is obvious that Kristy and Grant love each other very much. I had so much fun photographing the wedding and meeting their families and friends. It almost felt like being there as part of the family instead of the hired photographer.

Grant and Kristy, thank you so much for including me in your wedding. I just love both of your parents! I hope you had a blast at Disney World! I'll be talking with you soon and your gallery should post over the weekend!

Here are my favorite images from the day. - Cheryl

Thank You - Thank You - Thank You!!!

Okay, I'll admit it, I'm a numbers geek.... I like numbers and charts and graphs and all that dorky stuff. On this business-side of photography, there are lots of numbers that I regularly track and pay attention to. This week the website counter hit 20,000! That's a milestone to be celebrated for us!

So, thank you to all our clients who have taken us this far. We have many regular and loyal clients that I am so very thankful for. Thank you for your referrals and your repeat business! You guys are the best! - Cheryl

Jake!

I've been having some very frustrating website technicalities over the past couple of days. For whatever reason I can't upload any of the portraits to the website. They assure me they are taking care of the problem as quickly as possible.... Still frustrating! So, I decided to post all of Jake's headshots here so that he could see them.

Jake is one of those guys that you just know will be successful. I enjoyed watching him grow up with my daughter and develop his talents. And there are many! So, I was really psyched when he called to schedule a head-shot session. He's another one of these guys you could see in an A&F ad. Hopefully this summer we can hook up and do some urban, edgy on-location shoots for his portfolio.

The Whitehead Session

I have known Lisa forever it seems, and I cannot believe how big her children have gotten. We've been trying to plan an indoor photography session for a while, so I was glad to finally be able to photograph them. Ally and Chloe were so easy to photograph because they were loving the camera. Maybe there is a professional modeling career in their future... Tyler looks like he stepped out of an Abercrombie and Fitch ad, so he made my job easy! It's hard to believe he's this old and SOOO tall. I wanted to share some of my favorite portraits from the afternoon. Thanks guys, it was a blast photographing you! Your gallery will post later this week! - Cheryl
