Chastity, Senior of '08

After getting rained out weekend before last, I was finally able to catch a break in the rain to shoot Chastity's senior portraits. You have to love someone who thinks outside the box! I always tell seniors we can use any location, any prop, anything that will establish their senior portraits as who they are. Reflecting their own unique style - I think that is really important.

So, Chastity wanted to incorporate grain bins into her portraits. I want my studio to be known as anti-carbon-copy. It runs in my ads. It's one of the myspace promotions at the moment. So, when a very beautiful young lady wants to use grain bins as her backdrop - I get excited. Call me crazy, but out-of-the-ordinary energizes that creative flow that is so important for what I do.

Saturday turned out to be absolutely gorgeous, even with a little wind that we had to battle. I had a blast, Chastity. Hope you had fun, too. I love the location you chose!

So here are my very favorite images of Chastity and her senior style! - Cheryl

Raven

Lindsay brought her friend, Raven, along to the Fashion Show Saturday. Since we were going to the fashion show, I wanted to kids to have fun and feel like models themselves. We planned for extra time to spend shooting them on location. I wanted to share some of the images from Raven's session on Saturday. We shot in the Hillcrest area, which has some great architecture. It is one of my favorite places to shoot on location.I had fun shooting these photographs, and think she had fun modeling for me.

Raven, I hope you like your portraits. I think you look fabulous! - Cheryl

Designer's Choice Fashion Preview

Last weekend the kids and I headed to Little Rock to shoot the Designer's Choice Fashion Preview. I had been excited about this event since Theresa asked me to come in January. My excitement was pale in comparison to Lindsay and Hannah. They live and breathe Project Runway and America's Next Top Model. They were so excited knowing they were going to meet Mychael Knight. Our booth looked fabulous, and I had the cutest booth attendants! Seriously we met 100's of people and have lots of leads for future clients.

Since we were going to a Fashion Show, the kids of course had to look fabulous. Because they were so excited and were looking so fabulous, we scheduled a couple of hours that morning to do a fashion shoot. And, they loved it! Even Jesse was a good sport and let me snap a few of him.The girls had a blast, and so did I! Didn't they look fabulous?

The show was incredible. Theresa and her team did an amazing job in planning this event. It was sort of an organized chaos backstage with the designer's, hair stylist, and make-up artists. It was amazing to see how everything comes together at a show like this. I met some wonderful people that I hope I get to work with again. The kids were really excited before the show started.

And, the show was amazing!

One of the highlights of the day was meeting Mychael Knight from Project Runway. He was incredibly nice and humble, and the kids got to be VIPs at the Meet and Greet session before the show. He took time to meet every person there and sign autographs. What a nice guy!

Maybe one of the most exciting things for the kids was also getting to meet Furonda, who was on America's Next Top Model. They had spotted her in the crowd and couldn't believe it. After the show Jesse and Hannah got to meet her and get a couple of autographs. She was great with them!

So we had an exciting day shooting the show and meeting the celebrities. Theresa, thank you for including me in the Show. I had a blast and met so many wonderful people. You can call me anytime you have an event! - Cheryl
