Grant & Kristy

Last Saturday I photographed the wedding of Grant and Kristy. It was a dreary, rainy day for a wedding, which is never the weather you want on a wedding day. That pretty much cancelled all plans for the outdoor photography. But, even with the rain, the wedding was beautiful and the day was so much fun.

I met Kristy and her parents this past summer during her wedding consultation. Although I had heard lots about Grant, I never had the chance to meet him before Saturday. Grant and Kristy have a long history together and planned for their big day since last Christmas. Kristy wanted a wedding that focused on her family and friends. I know she pulled that off. There were so many beautiful and personal touches with the decor of the church and reception hall. I was truly impressed at all the unique and personal touches they included.

After all these years of photographing weddings, I still love that look the groom gets when he sees his bride for the first time on the wedding day. It is obvious that Kristy and Grant love each other very much. I had so much fun photographing the wedding and meeting their families and friends. It almost felt like being there as part of the family instead of the hired photographer.

Grant and Kristy, thank you so much for including me in your wedding. I just love both of your parents! I hope you had a blast at Disney World! I'll be talking with you soon and your gallery should post over the weekend!

Here are my favorite images from the day. - Cheryl
