The Keedy Boys

I met Brandi and Billy at the Country Club Monday afternoon to photograph Will and Jake's portraits. Oh my gosh, these boys are sooo cute. Sadly, Jake immediately decided that he just didn't like me very much. Ok, he didn't like me at all. LOL So we were all getting a little creative on distracting him so he would forget that me and my camera were there. I think we finally were able to capture the boys just as they are...cuteness and all! Mud puddles were avoided and everyone made it to T-ball on time.

Brandi and Billy, your boys are just precious! Thank you for calling me to do their portraits. - Cheryl

So I happened to see these two cuties in the park Saturday as I was taking prom portraits. Aren't they the cutest?

High School Sweethearts getting married in January!

Breanna & Cash are high school sweethearts and on one very cold day in February he proposed at the Old Mill! So we met up there on Saturday to shoot their e-session. I had so much fun shooting this session. They are just so adorable and fun! Here are my favorite portraits from their session:

Breanna & Cash, it was so nice meeting you both. You have such great chemistry together! I wish you lots of luck and love! - Cheryl

2008 Best of the Best Photographer ad

I wanted to have a special thank you ad in the newspaper to let Jackson Countians know how much I appreciated the honor of being chosen the Best of the Best Photographer this year. So today I received a preview copy of my "Thank you" ad that will run in the Newport Independent. I must say that graphic designer extraordinaire, Nena, hit a home run and designed an ad right along the lines I was already thinking.

Another way I would like to say thank you is by offering a special discount in conjunction with the ad. So here's the deal... cut out this ad when it runs in the newspaper or print it from this blog - it's worth 50% off the session fee for a senior portrait or family portrait session. Or, it's worth 10% off a premiere wedding package. This offer applies to new bookings only and is good for sessions booked in September and photographed in 2008! (One discount per family please)

Just find this ad in the September 10th edition of the Newport Independent!

Thanks again, Jackson County! - Cheryl

Thank You Jackson County!

So I am sitting at my desk yesterday afternoon when Lindsay from the Newport Daily Independent shows up in my doorway. The paper has an annual competition for readers to select the Best of the Best. I am so excited that I was selected as the 2008 Best Photographer in Jackson County! How cool is that?

One of the best parts of my job is the people that I get to meet. I have met some of the most amazing people over the past three years. Every session, in its own way, is so awesome and fun.

So, Thank You Jackson County - I am truly honored! To my clients - you guys rock! - Cheryl

2008 Bridal Guide CD-Rom to Feature Mauldin Photography

Mauldin Photography is so excited to announce our feature presentation in the 2008 Bridal Guide CD-ROM. The photo above is a little preview of the featured ad. I am so thrilled to be included this year! - Cheryl

Cheryl Mauldin is one of the most sought after wedding photographers in NE Arkansas, and is quickly gaining more geography in Tennessee, NW Mississippi, and NW Arkansas. She is an active member of the Professional Photographers of America, Wedding and Portrait Professionals International, and Society of Sports and Event Photographers. Cheryl is known for her story-telling style of wedding photography.

Cheryl is described by her clients as artistic, talented, and fun to work with. One bride raved that her wedding album looked like a David's Bridal catalog! Brides often tell her they cried the first time they saw their wedding portraits. Cheryl's desire to create beautiful and artistic portraits is evident by her passion for photography. She is most proud of her customer service and ability to create an "experience" for her clients.

The Bridal Guide presentation will be included with the November 2008 issue, and features Mauldin Photography as the exclusive wedding photographer for Arkansas and Kansas.
